“What lies before us and what lies behind us are small matters compared to what lies within us. And when we bring what lies within us into the world, miracles happen.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Welcome and thank you for visiting The Good Within.
We all have within us a potential to experience optimal well-being in mind and body. This potential, The Good Within, can be realized through the work of Mind-Body Training (MBT). Our work is a Moving Meditation, a daily practice of exercise that trains the mind to be fully present in the body. The mind-body becomes the instrument to consciously experience our true nature and inherent potential.
Realize the Good Within
In our work together we have two main objectives. Our primary mission is to become response-able; able to respond to the stressors of everyday life in ways that promote optimal well-being. We learn to let stress work for us rather than against us. We begin to see the mind-body as an amazing gift of God that holds within the promise of vitality, balance, strength, endurance, flexibility, focused attention and coordination.
Mind-Body Exercises for Optimal Well-Being
Our secondary objective is of no lesser importance but it must follow the first. We must learn to share this gift of self with others.
The training is founded on three essential elements:
- Mind-body science: The scientific principles that identify and define the practices in mind-body which promote optimal well-being.
- Sound educational practices: The learning process integrates the knowledge, methods and tools that are essential for optimal learning, increased understanding and most importantly disciplined thought and action.
- Faith: A belief in the inherent goodness of every person which is given by God.
Our daily practice in the exercises reduces stress, restores balance and helps us remember how to feel good about ourselves, each other and our world.
I believe that you will come to love the work as you sense the vital energy and goodness that it awakens in you.
"Do you not know that your body is a temple for the holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own. . . Therefore glorify God in your body."
—1 Corinthians 6:19
